Street Beats

On the third instance of the series, I walked around Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, on a Sunday - when it’s closed to cars and people walk, ride bikes, sing and dance. After capturing street artists performing, I extracted a super tiny section of each one (sometimes just a syllable) and made musical loops with them. I also hit all kinds of metal poles with drum sticks, and later tuned them to the pitch of the music. The noises of my hometown, edited to make a song.
